Launch of Patient Voice in Gout Survey
The main aim of this European online survey is to better understand the needs of people with Gout.
Gout is the most common form of inflammatory arthritis in Europe, yet awareness of it is relatively low. Existing data indicates that Gout is a very painful disease which has a significant impact on patients’ lives. Thus, a European online survey has been designed together with patient and clinical experts to give people with gout a voice.
The survey is addressed to every person above 18 years of age with a diagnosis of gout can take part, from the following European countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
The online survey takes about 15 minutes to collect information about the patient’s disease story, the patient’s (and general public’s) knowledge about gout, the current status of their gout and impact of the disease on their life.
The survey has been launched at the EULAR 2018 congress in Amsterdam together with several patient organizations and it is now ready for use in 14 European countries and in 11 different languages, while the results will be shared and communicated in November 2018. AGORA is one of the 13 patient organizations which supports this initiative.
